Hi I'm Tayten

I was born in Nampa, Idaho. I enjoy skiing and playing tennis. And yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am somewhat of an adventurous spirit, I am not extremely outgoing but I love going out. I love long boarding with my friends in the summer and skiing in the winter. Almost anything outdoors attracts me, such as; Hiking, backpacking, canyoneering, mountain biking, white water rafting, etc. Despite not being outgoing, I love people. I enjoy helping others through their struggles and being a friend to those in need. Because of this, I plan to go to school studying sociology so that I can enter a career in social work after my mission. I am serving my mission in Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because I know it is true. I have been raised in the gospel and for a long time I leaned on the testimony of my parents. But as I have grown and read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true, I have found for myself that this gospel is the true church of God. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today and that is Thomas S. Monson. I know that the Savior died for my sins and was resurrected so all could overcome physical death.

How I live my faith

Because of my faith, I believe in serving others as much as I can. I have participated in many community things such as TATU (Teens Against Tobacco Use) where I have helped teach thousands of children about the negative affects of tobacco use. I also have helped serve people in my ward throughout my years in the young men groups in church. I also live my faith by studying scriptures every night and sharing my thoughts and feelings about them with my friends.
