Hi I'm Brooke

Born and raised in Northern Utah. I have a wonderful life and wonderful friends and family. I love being a mormon!

About Me

I absolutely love being around people! Growing up in a large family you really have to get used to the idea of people being around you all the time, except when you are able to find that quiet spot where no one has crawled into. I received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and have always loved being around children! I love seeing their eyes light up when they start to understand something! I try as often as I can to volunteer in schools to help young children succeed. I enjoy sewing, playing the piano, and reading and of course spending time with my wonderful husband James, the most wonderful man I could ever imagine being with! Although I am far away from the rest of my family I can't imagine not being with him! We hope to start a family of our own soon!

Why I am a Mormon

I always have been part of the church, from when I can remember I was always doing something that had something to do with it, so for me it is who I am and who I am becoming. It really wasn't until I was in the middle of my college education did I really gain my own personal testimony. As I think about the experience, it was a very simple yet profound time in my life when I knew that my Heavenly Father was very aware of me. It was then that I realized how much the experiences that I had growing up in church influenced my personal testimony so that eventually I could feel His love and be influenced by such wonderful mentors and of course, my wonderful parents, who never gave up on me as much as I struggled in school and with friends. Being a Mormon to me isn't just going to church and coming home and continue going about everyday life as if nothing has changed. Being a Mormon to me is remembering my Savior, Jesus Christ and renewing the promises that I made at baptism with my Heavenly Father, it is a wonderful thing to be able to do that every week. Being a part if the church has brought me so much peace, joy and happiness, with being able to understand why I am here and where I am going!

How I live my faith

I love being part of the church, right now I am serving in the youth program. I have the opportunity to serve the young women and to see how much I have grown personally from the opportunity. At the time being, we have one young woman who is very active in the youth activities. Her name is Faith, which I find to be perfect for who she is, she is very faithful and kind and has a very strong testimony of the gospel. I teach almost every Sunday and look forward to learning and aspiring to be a better teacher every week. We have an activity every week which includes coming closer to Jesus Christ and also to better and learn more skills.
