Hi I'm Kirstin Coleman

I grew up in Northern California. I'm on a mission in Southern California. I'm a HAPPY Mormon.

About Me

I am on a mission in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, I'm an AUNTIE, I guess you could say I'm one of the middle children of my 6 siblings, my favorite colors are blue and yellow, I'm 22, and I laugh A LOT. Before I left on my mission, I was studying at BYU-Idaho with a Humanities major and an International Studies minor. I love history, art, music, religion, literature, and culture! I love reading and could spend hours in all sorts of stories. I love the imagination. I love to create and I enjoy the benefits of other's creations and imaginations. I love playing with kids, ah! Kids are so fun! They have the most creative and pure minds. I love Heavenly Father - he's brilliant! He's given me everything I have, even my life. Life is great, isn't it?!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a MORMON because I know that the BOOK OF MORMON is true. I've read it. You guys... I've read it. If you haven't read it, and say it's not true... your statement is invalid. READ THE BOOK OF MORMON. Why? If the Book of Mormon is true scripture, then Joseph Smith translated it through the power of God. Which then means that Joseph Smith was called of God to translate the book and restore the truths and the PRIESTHOOD back to the Earth. It means that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, because the Book of Mormon is another book of proof that He lives and has sacrificed Himself for our salvation - and it means that we HAVE a PLAN of SALVATION! And that Heavenly Father LOVES us!! Good grief! Why wouldn't I be a Mormon?! I belong to this church because I know that it's true.

How I live my faith

I LIVE MY FAITH. That's what I try to do. I try to avoid things that I know my Heavenly Father would be sad about. I have a constant reminder of who He is and what He expects from me by reading the scriptures EVERY DAY. Without my "letters from home" (scriptures), I would be lost. I have felt lost, but I felt found through the answers and guidance I gained from the scriptures. Another way that I live my faith, is that I share with others the LOVE and JOY that I gain from my Savior, Jesus Christ and from my Heavenly Father, felt from the Holy Spirit. Everything good in this world comes from them, nothing bad. It's important for me to always remember that love and joy. Sharing the truth with others has helped me strengthen my faith because it motivates me to live the teachings of the gospel. It's hard to get in the groove at first, but all it takes is testing it out and trying it. You then will also be able to live your faith!
