Hi I'm Hunter Hon!

I'm from Gilbert, Arizona. I am an athlete, a student, a tech freak and a missionary in Poland.

About Me

My family is the central focus in my life, I have 4 awesome brothers and a hilarious younger sister. Staying active with soccer, football, basketball and track I have lived a very competitive lifestyle; "A little bit of competition is always good. As long as you stay humble.", is something my parents would always say. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints is a wonderful part in my family's life. I love the knowledge and the lessons that we receive from going to church and reading the scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

Being out on my mission has made me think about this question a lot; I mean of course "God has given me everything, so why not give him two years in return?" But why am I thousands of miles away from home, trying to learn a difficult language? The answer to that is because of the peace and knowledge that this Church gives me. I know, in detail, where I came from before I was on earth, where I'm headed after this life and why I'm here. Stress comes from not knowing what to expect.. So essentially if we don't know the answers to those questions.. Questions that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints can answer.. We will live in a state of stress-and even unhappiness.. This life is already stressful enough. I know that peace comes from: sincere Repentance through prayer to our Father in Heaven and a desire to change, and through following the example of Jesus Christ and a knowledge of our purpose on earth. This Church is true and I love having the opportunity to share it with those around me.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Poland, Warsaw mission. I'm grateful for this opportunity to serve those people and although I'm leaving my family, friends, job and education behind for 2 years I know that it will help me come closer to Christ and his teachings as I learn and serve.
