Hi I'm Clark Jensen

I come from Seattle. I am a developer, a dancer, and a soccer player. I'm enjoy being an adventurer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In 2012, I graduated from high school and took two semesters at college to study Computer Science. I was able to work as an intern developing apps over the last two summers, and have loved learning and contributing to the company. In my free time I frequently go to downtown Seattle with my friends to explore and empty our wallets, and we enjoy every minute. I love to play soccer, and have recently gotten into dancing. In my comparatively short life, I've been comfortable as to things like clothes, Christmas gifts and other purchasable items, but like many people have had frequent sources of heart ache. Teenage years aren't kind to hardly anyone, myself included. At my lowest, I felt I must chose whether I wanted to believe that Jesus Christ's Atonement was capable of taking away my pains of every sort. I prayed and witnessed miraculous changes and events in my own life and the lives of others that has made the reality and power of Christ's Atonement real to me. I've been able to experiences many changes after making the life-changing decision to desire to believe in my Savior. I've been able to prepare myself to serve my Heavenly Father and spread the message of His Son's saving Atonement by going on a mission. As of November 20th, 2013, I've been called on a 2 year mission where I will have the opportunity to show my love and faith in Jesus Christ to the people of Japan, and invite them to believe in Him. It is an exciting time.

Why I am a Mormon

Studying, living to be able to make use of and then making us of Christ's Atonement has been my favorite part about being a Latter Day Saint of the church of Jesus Christ. There's nothing else quite like it. When I study and pray to know more about how I can benefit from His holy sacrifice, and how I how I can help others learn of Him for the same blessings, I am filled with a peaceful joy and warmth that can have only come from God. It is this peace that is my evidence of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the restored Priesthood on the Earth, modern-day revelation though prophets and prayer, and that I can live with my family and beloved Savior again. And, just as the Star of Bethlehem shone to all the world that Jesus Christ, God's Son, was born, people, friends and my family are evidence to me that God exists and has the love and power to bless us with miracles today. I know there must be a God, who is the Father of our Spirits as I feel his love for me and for those I love in feelings, experiences and changes that are truly divine.

How I live my faith

I have spend a lot of my life as an engaged member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the social aspect. It hasn't been until I began to read words of modern and ancient prophets with a specific question in mind that I've come to know for myself that Jesus Christ has made it possible for us to become clean from sin, grow in spiritual strength, and eventually return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father again. Right now, I have the opportunity to serve the people of Tokyo, Japan for the next two years! I spend my day searching for people who are ready to hear how their lives can be changed though Jesus Christ and His gospel, and that they can pray for themselves to know if our message is true. There has been no other challenge that I have been so excited about or wanted as much to serve perfectly. There is no where but right here serving God that I'd rather be. And I expect my mission to be some of the most significant and memorable years of my life! Serving a mission is my opportunity and calling to show the Lord and the God's children in Japan that I love them, and showing other's God's love though me is how I live my faith in exactness. The clearest way I can say I want to live my faith is by serving others in everything I do. I am excited for the day when my source of happiness comes from choosing to serve others, and know that I can eventually get there in and though Christ's Atonement.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Clark Jensen
It is the place where people gather to become happier -- it is similar to a reunion with your favorite classmates from college and your favorite teacher, or talking with a close friend or a loved one and having deep questions and concerns resolved each time you talk to them. Friends like that, and gatherings where everyone wants to learn and are very likely friendly sound like situations I'd want to be in! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is very much that way for me. I find friendship, fun and others who want to learn in this church, and I have my most sincere prayers answered by a loving Father, through Jesus Christ, whom I consider to be my wisest and most loving friend.
