Hi I'm Linda

I am a musician. My family is partially built through international adoption. I homeschool my children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a musician. I've had training in piano, violin, flute, organ, English handbells, and voice. I'm a wife and mother. I have four biological children and two children that were adopted from Kazakhstan. I homeschooled all of our children to one degree or another depending on each child's needs. In addition to my six children, two others, while not officially adopted, are as dear to me as my own and I consider them as family. I enjoy learning about psychology and behavior and over the period of eleven years gradually earned a bachelor's degree in human development. The things I learned ended up being a blessing as I raised my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been one who wants to know things for myself. I wanted to know if God knew of me personally, and as I prepared myself for baptism into the Mormon faith, I felt a warm assurance that He was pleased with my decision. As I read the Book of Mormon, that same feeling came to me again testifying to me that the words and teachings within that book are good and right. I listened to the prophet's teachings and tested the commandments by trying to live them to the best of my ability. Every time I did, blessings would begin to flow into my life. When I read about Joseph Smith's heavenly encounter with God the Father and His Son, I was amazed at the incredible story and at the same time convinced that it really did happen. Through the years since my baptism, I have seen the blessings of following the faith. Trials come to everyone, but having faith in Christ and His gospel teachings has eased those trials and helped me have a life focuse

How I live my faith

During my life, I have tried to focus on serving my family, my church, and my community. Most of that service has focused around two themes: teaching children of all ages about the wonders of God's creations and sharing my love of the Savior through music.
