Hi I'm Edie Ellison

I'm from California, but serving a mission in Japan. I'm interested in Japanese, hammocking, and playing the viola. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on the California coast in a small town called Carmel. I enjoyed running in the mountains with my dad, bonfires on the beach with my friends, and most of all spending time with my family. After graduating from high school, I attended Brigham Young University for a year. Now, I'm serving my mission in the Japan Sendai Mission. Some of my hobbies include playing the violin and viola, eating copious amounts of cereal and chocolate, backpacking, skiing, reading the news, and studying Japanese.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I am imperfect. I make mistakes everyday, and through Jesus Christ's Atonement I know there is a way for me to be forgiven and to grow from my faults. God's love for us is so incomprehensible, and I have a testimony that we are his children, and he wants nothing more than for us all to return and live with him one day. Being a Mormon gives me a purpose in this life, and a bright hope for the future.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. In my home ward, I taught a family history class to the youth in the ward, in addition to serving on a committee that helped plan activities for the youth in our area. In college, I was in charge of conducting music for Sunday meetings every week.
