Hi I'm Christie Jacinto

I grew up in San Diego, CA. I love the beach, traveling, & scuba diving. I'm Cuban, I'm a newscaster, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Favorite things ever: The LDS church, my husband and my family, the beach, SPAIN, Mexican food, traveling, scuba diving, and chocolate chip cookies. I am finishing my last year of college and I'm searching for jobs. I will be graduating with a degree in Communications, with a Broadcast Journalism emphasis. I love people and talking! I think that's why I love reporting so much. I've been married for about a year and a half and couldn't be happier. Both my husband and I are from San Diego and we hope to make it back there after we graduate college. We are both very adventurous and we love to experience unique opportunities because what's better than having fun memories and crazy stories to tell?!

Why I am a Mormon

My mom is a convert to the LDS (Mormon) Church. Her conversion is one of the biggest reasons I feel so strongly about my church. I was never forced to join, and my membership has always been my continuous decision, but I wouldn't have it any other way. If I had to summarize the biggest reasons for why I am Mormon I would break it into these simple truths. 1. I can be with my husband for all time AND ETERNITY. 2. I can get current relevant advice from God through a present day prophet. 3. I can feel this amazing, comforting feeling whenever I need it. 4. I am absolutely happiest when I am doing everything that's in line with my church. 5. I avoid the issues of the world, without missing out on what life has to offer, by following the guidelines set by my church. 6. I know without a single doubt, that it's the true church. If you don't know that or if you doubt that, look into it and you will see and feel what I see and feel.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to help plan activities for the women in my church. It's great being able to be assigned to a group of ladies that I maybe wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. We get together every few weeks and plan the upcoming activities. It's great to be able to hear other people's thoughts because we all have totally different ideas which makes for fun and diverse activities!
