Hi I'm Mark

I am a father of 4 wonderful kids, I work as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I enjoy playing stickball and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Amarillo Texas and my family moved from Dumas to Arizona when I was just young - I now live in Arizona - I enjoy playing any sports - As a family we especially love playing stickball, a game my brother brought back from his mission to the Dominican Republic - I attended college at Eastern Arizona, Arizona State University and finally my master's program at St. Mary's University in San Antonio - I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and work at a local mental health agency - I am married to my beautiful wife and we have 4 children, two cats and a turtle

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because I truly feel like this is Christ's Church upon the earth - I have had many experiences throughout my life which have strengthened my belief and testimony of this gospel - I have been able to serve a mission in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala - On my mission I was able to share my beliefs with others and see how knowing of Jesus Christ and his teachings can change people's lives - I have seen that same change in my own life and the life of my family - One of the biggest, most important parts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to me is that I can be with my family forever - I was able to be married and sealed to my wife in the Temple - I know that if I live my life the best I can and repent when I make mistakes that I will someday be able to live with my family forever - That is what keeps me going when times get tough - I know that God lives, I know that he and his son appeared to the boy Joseph Smith and that they restored the gospel for us in these latter days - I am grateful that we have a living prophet who can lead and guide us today through revelation and inspiration - I hope to live my life better each day and be able to return and live with God, His Son and my family again

How I live my faith

I am currently working as the president of our men's organization in our ward - We enjoy getting together for service projects - We recently were able to help a widow clean her yard - I also am on a committee which helps to plan activities and parties which everyone is welcome to attend - I try to be a positive example of Christ to other people and share my beliefs with whomever is interested - I am able to visit a few families each month and make sure they are doing well - In my own family we try to have a family night once a week where we can learn about the gospel, play games and of course eat
