Hi I'm Anna

I'm an artist, a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm that average college kid that watches too much Netflix and doesn't spend enough time reading my biology textbooks. I've been blessed with the opportunity to study photography at college-seriously a dream come true you guys. I have the most loving, supportive family in the world and somehow I have friends who put up with my sassy, sarcastic personality. I'm also quite sucker for nachos and long drives with me and my radio.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home, but being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was a choice I made entirely by myself. I live in a supportive ward, I have roommates who share my same beliefs and I have a family with amazing testimonies, but I'm a Mormon because it brings me joy. At 15, my dad died leaving behind too young of a family. Saying my world was crushed is an understatement. I remember laying in bed the night after his death realizing that my dad wouldn't ever be coming home again. It ripped my soul to shreds. I am convinced that the only way I have come out of that experience a happier, stronger individual is due to the gospel of Jesus Christ provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, but I also know He felt all our pains, weaknesses, and struggles. I know that families can be together forever through the sealing power provided by temples. I know only a loving God would give us trials-so we can be strengthened, so that we can grow, so that we can gain experience. Peace and joy comes through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love attending my church meetings and participating through different callings, but for me living my faith means living so others can see Jesus Christ through my example. I strive to keep the standards of the LDS church, serve others, and stand up for my beliefs and it makes me genuinely happy. When people see that, my hope is that they will see that my happiness comes through the knowledge that we all have a Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, that loves us unconditionally.
