Hi I'm Wyatt

I am a writer, hunter and rock climber. I live for the adventure life has to offer and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Having only one lifetime on this earth, I believe that your life should be as exciting as you can make it. I am definitely an outdoors guy, whether its rock climbing, hunting, swimming, wake boarding, scuba diving or just a simple hike; if I have time to do it, I am already on it. Having a passion for reading, I have collected piles of books; which can make it pretty difficult when you need to move out. Creative writing is a critical part of my day to day life, an idea or story plot will not leave my head until I write it down; I hope to publish my works someday. Graduating a year ago with my associates degree and my high school diploma, all because of the Running Start program; I am currently taking a two week break from school so that I can serve a mission. The coolest place I have ever gone would have to be Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; the weather was amazing, the scenery was gorgeous and the food was divine. The coolest thing I have ever done would have to be scuba diving for the first time with my father in Puerto Vallarta, the feeling that you get when you swim deep down and observe the world that dwells beneath the waves is incredible. I am not the biggest fan of rain, I know, ironic because I live in the northwest; but I hope to move down south one day. Well, that gives you a little glance of who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I have definitely had my ups and downs. So called "friends" in high school pushed me off the straight and narrow multiple times, and like a car sliding on ice, I was sure that I was headed towards disaster. But because of an intervention from a few true friends, some members and my family, I have once again returned to the path. A scripture that describes the situation I found myself in can be found in Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Before I found myself locked in a struggle; trying to live two very different lifestyles, and in the end I just needed to decide which path I was going to follow. I am forever grateful that I made the correct choice, and now, preparing myself in the Missionary Training Center in order to report for my mission in Novosibirsk Russia; I will soon have the opportunity to share that same message with countless others. I bear my testimony that this life is not an easy ordeal; that there will be ups and downs, and in the end you will make mistakes. But because of our Savior we can be saved from our mistakes and sins, though Jesus Christ we can all find redemption. The path is not easy to traverse, you will find rough patches, but in the end staying on the true path will be more than worth it.

How I live my faith

Having been raised in the church, participating has been always been a normal thing for me, even then though, it is still hard to set time aside for meetings and activities. I have held multiple leadership positions in young mens and boy scouts. Right now I am about to serve in a mission in Novosibirsk Russia.
