Hi I'm Carter Johnson

I'm a Texan. I served a full time mission in Siberia. I hate being cold. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University studying international business. I served my full time Mormon mission in Siberia, so I am fluent in Russian. I hope to work in Russia in the future. I went to three different high schools in New Hampshire and Texas. I wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as soon as I could and I love it with all my heart. I love basketball a lot and I try to play as often as I can. I played football in high school and I love watching college football now (especially BYU football).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is true. I know this from personal experiences and inspirations from the Holy Spirit. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is truly from God. I know that Joseph Smith did not write the Book of Mormon, but that he translated it by the gift and power of God. He truly was a prophet of God. I know that Thomas Monson is a true and faithful prophet of the Lord. I have done what he counsels and my life has only gotten better. I know that as we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ our lives will improve and we will be happier. I know this from personal experience.

How I live my faith

Right now I go to BYU and go to a singles ward there. I love my ward so much and I love being around so many faithful young people. I serve as the executive secretary to the Bishop and I help him keep track of all the members of our ward. I strive to read daily from the scriptures, both in English and in Russian. I try to live my life in a way that will uplift and inspire those around me.
