Hi I'm Adrian Ortega

I'm from Mesa, Arizona. I've been called to serve as a missionary in Moscow, Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student in Mesa, Arizona--currently preparing to serve in the Russia Moscow mission. I have two married siblings, one nephew, and one niece (with another on the way!). I am extremely interested in medicine and want to become a cardio-thoracic surgeon after medical school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of this church and of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, but as I got older I realized that I was leaning upon the faith of my parents. Fearing that I did not have my own testimony, or knowledge of the truth, I read the scriptures more diligently and prayed to my Father in Heaven more fervently. As I asked God with real intent, wanting to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church upon the earth, I received an answer--"you're doing the right thing." I felt the Holy Ghost witness this truth to my soul. I know that this gospel is true and that through the prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. Jesus Christ restored the same gospel He established when He was upon the earth. I know that the restoration of the Book of Mormon was vital to the salvation of mankind in this time. I love my God, my Redeemer, and the church they have established here on the earth.

How I live my faith

In my home ward, I am an assistant to the Bishop in my youth group (Priests Quorum). I go with my father and visit families within the congregation and share messages from our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson and his counselors. With these assignments, I feel like I am doing what our Lord Jesus Christ would be doing if He were on the earth today.
