Hi I'm Alexandria Ramirez

I work in special education. I'm a Californian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a typical college student. I'm fiercely loyal, an enthusiastic overachiever, and a total busybody. Learnin' and lovin' it!!! Okay... maybe not that typical. I'm a journalist in training. I worked for my school paper last semester. Word and InDesign are counted among my best friends. Like most students, I'm thinking about changing my major. But hey, all things are for thy good, right? I work as an instructional assistant for children with special needs. They are so wonderful! Daily, I'm amazed by what these children are able to do while overcoming their specific challenges! I'm the oldest of four kids in my fam. My fam's a bunch of pop-culture junkies. I love them and my friends. I love, love, love music. I don't play, but I can sing. I'm also a fashion lover. I love being able to take pieces and make them match my own signature style. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the gospel is true. It is through Christ, I have become a better person. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me. And they love you! I know that if I use the Atonement Christ provided for us, I can return to live with our Father in Heaven. I know the Plan of Salvation is truly the Plan of Happiness. I'm grateful for the Restoration of the Church. I'm grateful for the Book of Mormon, the Bible, the Pearl of Great Price, and the Doctrine and Covenants. I am grateful for their insights and for all that I am able to learn from these sacred books. I am so grateful for agency. I am grateful for the tender mercies and blessings I have been given. I'm grateful for repentance. I am so grateful to know my family can be eternal. I know that it is only through Christ that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. I am truly blessed to have the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I was recently called to the Georgia, Atlanta Mission. I leave January 29th, my birthday! Right now, I don't have a calling (besides visiting teaching :)) in my local YSA ward. Previously, I have been a Relief Society Secretary, RS Teacher, and Visiting Teaching Coordinator. While in high school: I attended early morning seminary and graduated! I was a member of the different presidencies in Young Women's. I served as a member of my stake's Senior counsel. As a member of this group, I helped plan a Youth Conference and Girl's Camp. I've helped with many service projects. When able, I have also been a participant in harvesting grapes in order to eventually provide raisins to those in need. I have loved all of these opportunities to serve. Each calling provides me with new lessons to learn and a new appreciation for others and their willingness to work.
