Hi I'm Alexis Joy Smerdon

I grew up in Northern California, I am a classical trombone player, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate student working on master's degrees in trombone performance and music theory. I have a beautiful kitten named Mischief. I recently started training in the martial arts of Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I love to play soccer and I also love to watch movies and play games with my husband, Eric.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have grown a testimony that this is Christ's true church and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church by which I can make the covenants that are needed to help me reach eternal salvation. I know that Jesus Christ is the only way to true forgiveness of my sins and I know that through HIM I can be saved and perfected.

How I live my faith

I helped immensely with the music in my local church. Right now I am the Ward Music Chairman, Primary Pianist, and Ward Choir Director. As Music Chairman, I help organize and lead music trainings, select the music for our Sunday worship, and help out the leadership in any way I can that in regards to music. As the Primary Pianist, I play the songs for the children under age 12 in their sunday classes. As the Ward Choir Director, I run choir rehearsals and prepare songs that we can sing for our Sunday worship sacrament meeting.
