Hi I'm Jeffrey

I'm a boy scout. I'm a university student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love Scouting. I have my Eagle and love to work with scouts and served on a camp staff for two summers. I study civil engineering and hope to be an engineer one day. I enjoy the outdoors and have a love camping. I love photography. I started a business and helped start another one while I'm still in school.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I choose to be Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and that suffered for me. I know that even though I make mistakes, no matter how big they are, I can repent and become pure and clean. I know that there are living prophets and know that they lead this church. I know that I can talk with my Heavenly Father and I know that I can return to him someday by following his Plan of Happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living as Christ would do. Living as he would really makes me happy and brings a smile to my face. I teach lessons in church and I love working with the young men. It brings me great joy to serve and help those that I love. I also live my faith by living the high standards that I have. I also do home teaching and love those that I visit.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Mormon Church services are welcome to all visitors. During the service, we have a sacrament meeting, which has hymns (hymnals provided), prayers, speakers, and the sacrament (communion) is passed by priesthood holders to those who wish to participate. After sacrament, there is a variety of classes ranging form Primary (classes for young children 3-11), Sunday School, Relief Society (women 18+), Young women (young women ages 12-18), and Priesthood meetings (Males 12+). What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and the people in America at the time before and after his birth, death, and Resurrection. It tells of the prophets in the America's and gives a second witness to the divinity and purpose of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. The book was translated by Joesph Smith and is scripture for us. We gained this knowledge of truth of the divinity of Jesus Christ and the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon through the Holy Ghost. What is the Law of Chastity?

The law of Chastity is a sacred commandment from our Heavenly Father to us. We believe that intimacy is reserved for marriage and should happen between a legally wedded man and wife. We believe that power to create children is sacred. Though breaking this commandment is serious, those that have broken this commandment can repent and make things right and receive a peace again.
