Hi I'm michael garcia

I was born in Midland Texas, I am serving in Monterrey Mexico :) learing spanish, I love to dance and I am a Mormon!!! :)

About Me

well lets see I love playing sports i think i am pretty good at most sports besides baseball. i also love hanging out with friend. i talk a lot most people who know me will agree XD i am a convert to the church i was baptized September 30th of 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up my mom did drugs and was abusive to my brother and I she provided food for us and clothes but wasn't there to tell me not to do stuff. I would always get into trouble at school and had major anger problems. I was never home and would run the streets with my friends then as time went on I just kept getting in trouble in school and didn't give a crap about anything I was selfish and only cared about myself. I was arrested a couple times when I was 13 and went to a detention center also known as a jail for teenagers while I was in there I had some fun and everything but that's when I first learned about prayer and repentance I would only pray when I wanted to get out of trouble. I was only there for a couple days each time and I always had a goal to graduate from high school and do something with my life and that when 9th grade came around I would start trying in school I was put in a class that helped me with that and yeah I graduated first one in my family. anyways my junior year I moved to a different city and lived right across from an lds church this is where the funny part starts so I had a phone and didn't want to pay for service so I would always use wifi and I knew the church had wifi so one day I went. A guy came and asked me if was new. and I said yeah and told him were I lived and he took me to my Sunday school class and i already new kids in the class and they kept inviting me back and I love it just felt welcomed and love and I know the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

well I exercise my faith daily by praying day and night. not only when I need something like I used to. I also read my scriptures daily because not only is it a commandment but it helps me in times of need yeah sometimes I "forget" or " I am to tired" but that's okay I am human not perfect but I do strive to be perfect. maybe one day i'll get there. I love taking the sacrament to the "housebound: usually the people who can't make it to church because they are to old or broke a bone." it's like a win win situation for me I get blessings for doing service and just get to sit down and talk for a bit they are super nice and during holidays they make us treats.:)
