Hi I'm Ruth

I have lived most of my life in Oregon, U.S.A. I'm currently living in Durban, South Africa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have five grown children. Now that I have more free time I have started some hobbies like crocheting and playing with a ukulele group.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined because this church was about family and I wanted the very best for mine. Most programs of the church revolve around the family. Temples are about family, genealogy, and Family Home Evening, each teaches us the importance of supporting and caring for one another. What I love about the Book of Mormon is the "hidden treasure" of knowledge that brings me back to it's pages time and time again only to discover new knowledge as my life continues to go forward. Passages come jumping off the pages giving me new direction and inspiration for my daily life. I love the people I associate with in the church. Good people, doing their best to live a good life. I don't live a perfect life, but with the atonement of Jesus Christ I know I can face each day and receive his help.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are currently on a church mission in South Africa. I have always enjoyed serving others whether at church, work or the community. Here in South Africa my husband and I have opportunities to help others and set good examples of Christ like living.
