Hi I'm Kyle

I grew up mostly in West Jordan, Utah. I enjoy going to the temple when I have time. I have a testimony of the church.

About Me

My favorite hobby is exercising. I enjoy it because it's a stress reliever for me and it helps me to stay active. I'm currently not going to college, but I will be going after I'm finished with my mission. I've been working so that I can provide for my mission. I'm also using my spare time to study and prepare for my mission. While I was in high school, I participated in several sport activities: football, cross country and swimming. I enjoyed swimming and cross country the most because those were the two sports that I got to participate in every meet. It didn't matter how slow or how fast you were; what mattered is whether you were willing to participate or not and how hard you were willing to work to improve each day.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the church ever since I was born. Both of my parents are members of the church and they make sure that I attend church each Sunday. Growing up, I always questioned about why we went to church each Sunday. I never understood why, so there were times when I was younger where I didn't feel like going to church, but my parents I always made sure that I went; except for times when I felt too sick to go. As I started getting older, I started realizing why my parents made sure I went to church. There are so many blessings that come to us when we obey the commandments that we've been asked to keep. We understand more about who God is and His son, Jesus Christ, who died for all of us so that we may be forgiven of our sins and return to heaven to live with God. One of the main reasons I enjoy being a "Mormon" is I find happiness each day as I live the standards of the church and participate in my church callings. I also find greater happiness when I choose to follow Heavenly Father and rely on Jesus Christ to guide me each day to over come challenges that I face each day. I enjoy being a Mormon and I know this church is the true church.

How I live my faith

Currently, I occasionally teach the two classes I participate in at church. In my classes, people are volunteered at times to teach the classes, so I'll sometimes volunteer or get asked to teach the following Sunday. Some tools I use to help me prepare for the lessons are the scriptures, talks given by our church leaders, and sometimes I'll use the lds.org website to find other resources that'll help. I use to go home-teaching every month with my home-teaching companion, but I recently got called to a new companion, so I haven't gone home-teaching in a while. Something I do on my personal time that our church has asked us to do is study our scriptures, which I enjoy reading, because it helps keep my faith in the church strong.
