Hi I'm Tariu Leilua

I was born in Utah, but my family comes from Tonga and Samoa. I love my family and my Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports and also a enjoy a good game of chess. I am interested in science and engineering and aim to major in the field when I enter college. I played football in high school and still play video games. I currently am preparing to serve an honorable full-time LDS mission in the country of New Zealand. I leave on Jan. 15, 2014. I am so stoked for it!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up as an Mormon, I had my doubts, but I have come to know for myself that this is a true church. Just because my parents were Mormon, has little to do with why I am still a mormon today. I have read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and can testify that it is the word of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson and all the prophets before him are true prophets of God. I know that Jesus is my savior and wouldn't feel the same way if it weren't for this gospel. I share this, my testimony, so that you may know why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to do the basic things such as attending church every week and reading my scriptures daily, but the one thing I do consecutively is be an example to others. I always keep in my mind that I represent my family and my faith. I do my best not to give the wrong message to others about either of the two. I stay active in participating in the youth activities of my ward and stake and have been called as a leader to be in the Stake Youth Council. I try to do the best I can for my faith, my family, and my future.
