Hi I'm Mitchell Clerc

I enjoy spending time with my family, outdoor activities, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a husband to an amazing and beautiful wife and a father to our 2 miracle children. I love playing football, going snowboarding, wakeboarding, camping, and going to the sand dunes. All of these activities are much more enjoyable now that we can do them with our kids. I love watching them develop the same love for the outdoors that I have. My sweet Jessica is a wonderful wife, an amazing mother, a talented singer, and is always looking out for others people's needs. I love her so much and am grateful to have her in my life. Our two children always keep us on our toes and we have so much fun watching then learn and grow. My daughter is obsessed with becoming a ballerina and loves to make up her own dances. My son is 100% boy. He loves anything that involves football or dirt-bikes. Family is the most important thing in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew up in a small town where just about everyone was Mormon. I graduated High School at the age of 17. At that time the minimum age for missionary service was 19, so I decided to go to college. While attending Eastern Arizona College I met a really special girl who was a member of the Mormon church as well. We didn’t date much but I knew there was something special about her. One thing that was important to her was marrying a return missionary. I always knew I was going to go on a mission but knowing about her really motivated me to be the best missionary I could be! Little did I know that the extra motivation would be a life changer for me. The gospel studying I would do in the months leading up to when I would leave as well as during the 2 years of serving a mission I had confirmation from God that He loves me and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same church organization that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth 2000 years ago. It was restored by a modern day prophet like Noah or Moses, but on the earth today. I learned that simply growing up in the church wasn’t enough, but I had to be converted in my heart and mind. I am grateful for the testimony of Jesus Christ I have. I know He lives and is our Savior. During my missionary service that special girl and I would write letters to each other. When i got back home we were married in just under 9 months in the Mesa Arizona Temple for time and all eternity. Now we have the opportunity to raise our children in the gospel and teach the about Christ. My little girl jumps at every opportunity she can to pray. She asks Heavenly Father for specific needs for members of our family, she prays with faith knowing she will get an answer to her prayers, and she always includes the phrase, "I know Heavenly Father loves me" in her prayers. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the happiness it brings.

How I live my faith

One thing I learned when I was young was any chance we have to serve others, we need to do it! I have never looked back on any act of service I have been a part of and regretted it. One of my favorite scriptures from the Book of Mormon is in the book of Mosiah chapter 2 verse 17. It is King Benjamin speaking to the people and teaching them. He says, "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I try to live with this as my motto.
