Hi I'm Eryn

I am preparing to serve a full-time mission in the Mexico, Mexico City East Mission. I love to laugh with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my Sophomore year of college and received an Associate's Degree of Science. I love to do anything outdoors, mostly hiking and bike riding. I have had a number of interesting jobs growing up, not typical for a young woman (i.e. ranch hand, lawn maintenance, HVAC tech helper, well watcher, etc.), all things that have taught me how to get your hands dirty. I was accepted into the nursing program at my school, but decided to serve a mission instead. I have been called to serve in the Mexico, Mexico City East mission. WHOOP WHOOP! I love my family more then anything and am stoked for the opportunity to share the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up and was baptized a member of the church, but this does not mean I have always had a testimony. Members of my extended family have gone in and out of the church, but luckily my immediate family has remained active. Through middle and high school, my testimony was tested many times through peer pressure and other attacks of the adversary. This was a time that I had to decide for myself whether or not I believed in the things I had been taught my entire life. Over time, I realized how much my Heavenly Father loves me. I have decided that no other thing in this entire universe could bring me as much happiness as this gospel. So, why am I a Mormon? Because I know without a doubt in my mind that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are true. I have prayed and asked whether or not this is so, and I have received many confirmations of its truth.

How I live my faith

Spending half my life in Utah and the other half in Colorado, I have been blessed with multiple opportunities to share the gospel. My family moved to Colorado for my dad's job and this was the first move us kids had ever experienced. A completely new state, surroundings, and most of all a lack of LDS members was overwhelming. After living here for some time we were blessed with the opportunity to open up a branch in our town, which has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. This branch has allowed my family and I to serve in many areas, meet new people, and introduce the gospel to so many who were missing the light of Christ in their life. This branch has helped me practice my missionary work in more ways than one, and this is why I plan to serve a mission. How do I live my faith? By sharing the light of Christ in any way possible, even through a simple smile!! :)
