Hi I'm Jacob Johnson

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I golf and play basketball. I'm serving a mission in Canada, Calgary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jake Johnson and I've lived in Utah my whole life. I'm 19 years old. I was born into the Mormon faith, and have never really wavered. My parents both grew up in Utah, and have never lived elsewhere. I have 4 brothers and sisters, one older brother and one younger brother, and also one older sister and one younger sister. My older brother and sister are both married. I love the relationship I have with all of my family members, including my in-laws. I'm currently on a mission in Canada Calgary. It's been the greatest experience sharing my beliefs and the happiness I have with others! I love to golf and play basketball, and hang with my little brother and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the feeling of peace that it brings. When I worship the Lord, I feel peace and feel a feeling that is kind of hard to explain. It makes me feel, essentially, just happy. I would do anything to share the sense of happiness that I feel every time I read my Book of Mormon, or pray to my Heavenly Father. I know that this church is true, and I love to know that I always have someone to help me get through hard times. Have you ever been in a horrible situation, where you felt like no one knows what you're going through? You feel alone, right? I can promise that whenever I feel alone like that, I'm not, and you're not alone either. It's amazing to know that I can always get down on my knees and pray to Heavenly Father or to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has been through everything that everyone has ever been through, and he knows exactly how you feel. I promise that whenever you feel alone, pray. "When life gets too hard to stand, kneel." Pray to Jesus Christ and he will make himself known, and will comfort you and help you through whatever you're going through. If you have the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon, take it. I absolutely love that book. It contains some of the most vital pieces of my beliefs, and I always feel amazing and happy when I read it. Pray to know that it is in fact true. I know that this gospel is true, and I love the sense of peace and assurance that it brings. That's why I'm a Mormon. To share my beliefs and to help other people out mean the world to me.
