Hi I'm Emily Morgan

I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. I'm a marathon runner and BYU student. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of 5 kids and I grew up with parents who have strong faith. I love spending time with my family. I love to run and try new things. I graduated from Liberty High School and I am a student at BYU-Provo. I am majoring in Computer Science. I have played the piano since I was in Kindergarten.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned a lot about the gospel from my parents and teachers as I grew up. As I grew older, I gained my own testimony of Jesus Christ and his teachings. Each time I read The Book of Mormon I learn more about God's plan for his children. I am a Mormon because I know that this church has restored the same church that was on the earth when Christ was here. It reminds me that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and wants me make the right choices. I have gained a knowledge that the prophet Joseph Smith was called by God to lead his church and that this church is still lead by people called by God. I am a Mormon because it makes me a better person and reminds me of my worth. We are God's children and he loves us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Christ and his teachings. I do my best to strengthen my family and friends and I follow the examples of my parents and the other great people who are around me. I know I can pray to receive strength and comfort. I read the scriptures so I can learn more about how to spend my time on Earth the way God wants me to. I serve others because I know they are also children of God.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Emily Morgan
The best way to know that Mormonism is true is to sincerely ask God. Study the scriptures and the words of the prophet and pray that you will know if they are true. If you are earnest and thoughtful in your questions the Holy Ghost will tell you if it is true or not. And if you follow the doctrine of Christ and his commandments you will continue to gain a testimony of its truth. Show more Show less
