Hi I'm Lida

I'm from bountiful, utah. I'm just an average college girl trying to figure out the ways of life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to laugh. A day without laughter is a day wasted. I love to talk to people and listen to their stories. Everyone has their own individual story. I love food. All kinds of it. My family is of the utmost importance to me. I enjoy going on adventures. I love learning new things. I love psychology and plan on majoring in that. More than anything, I love this gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

In technical terms, you could say I'm a Mormon because I was born into a family that was already Mormons. But this isn't why I now choose to be Mormon. That lead me to this amazing gospel, yes. But I decided to stay in it and keep practicing this religion on my own. The second I knelt down and asked our Father in Heaven if this was the true Church and if the Book of Mormon was true, I knew. No an angel did not appear to me, no I didn't have an amazing vision, no I didn't even get a rush of feelings that took my breath away. A simple primary song popped into my head. it goes something like this "I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know who I am, I know God's plan, I'll follow Him in faith. I believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ." Those simple lines from a song testified to me of the truth. I know now that without a doubt this is the ONLY true church on the face of this earth. It takes many times of nurturing my testimony to continue and remember this even after I first learned this Church to be true. This is the way. This church sets us on the right path. The savior is the way. He is the path. Through this gospel and church we have the amazing opportunity to know there is ALWAYS a light at the end of the tunnel. And because of the Savior's sacrifice for us through the Atonement, we are never alone and can once again return to our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus the Christ. How amazing is that. Why would I ever wanna venture away from that amazing light.

How I live my faith

I work with the women of the church. I do secretary type tasks. I provide agendas, notes, and schedules. I assist with visiting teaching and attendance percentages. I visit sick or struggling members often. I try to share the gospel whenever is appropriate. There is always someone who could use a listening ear so I try to look for those people often. You never know when just listening to someone will be an answer to their prayers. Prayer and scripture study is vital and such an important part of the day.
