Hi I'm John Carlo

I grew up in the Philippines. I work in IT Industry. I am Mormon.

About Me

I finished my college degree while having a full-time job in various call centers. Now, I am working in an IT industry. I have a pretty wife. We have been married for almost 4 years now and still waiting for a child. Me and my wife date each other by going to places nearby and we eat at various fastfood and fine restaurants. My hobby is playing basketball. I also play table tennis and chess. When at home, I watch movie, I check my Facebook, I read the Book of Mormon, I listen music from classical to pop to soft rock and to love songs, I practice singing, I practice playing keyboard, and I write in journal. I want to be an entreprenuer. I want to prosper so I can help my family and then the people around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born from Mormon parents. They taught me to be a good son. They raised me up in the Church together with my siblings. My parents guided us with the teachings of the Gospel as we grew up. As I learn, apply and obey the teachings of the Gospel, my faith and testimony of Jesus Christ strengthens. I know that Jesus Christ once established His Church but was destroyed starting when He was killed. I know He restored His Church through a prophet. And there is a prophet that guides us today. The teachings in this church are so clear that makes me believe in my intellectual understanding that it is the only true church. Above that, I know by the Holy Spirit that it is true. I can feel it.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday, I go to church with my wife. I am being called to various responsibilities and assignments in the church. I help our full-time missionaries assigned in our place in their teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I teach the Gospel Principles to the people who are investigating the Church. When my workmates ask me why I don't smoke or drink alcohol, I say it is a commandment of God and it is bad for our health. I had the privilege of meeting and teaching a lot of people of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ when I voluntarily served as a missionary in Visayas, Philippines.
