Hi I'm Paige Ann Cavaness

I'm sports fanatic, writer, lover of all things loud, humanitarian, and little sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved baseball, and all sports hold a special place in my heart. My best friends are my siblings and cousins. I love people and I love letting them know that. My enthusiasm is either my greatest weakness or greatest strength, I'm constantly trying to find a balance between the two. I am overjoyed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and know that I am weak, but through my Redeemer, I am enough!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to know about the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the time I was a little girl. As I grew I learned to rely on my Savior and understand His teachings. I gained a testimony of my own as a teenager facing the challenges of my life that seemed so great at the time. My life has always consisted of the Gospel, family, food, sports, and a whole lot of loud! My parents have always taught me to enjoy whatever I have been given and to dance through life--sometimes I take that advice too literally. I have received a witness that this Gospel is true and desire the same for the entire world! That witness has led me to choose to serve a full time mission. In August of 2013, I was called to serve in the Russia, Vladivostok Mission and will serve from January, 2014 to July of 2015. I am humbled and honored by the privilege I have to serve the Russian people. I choose to do this, and other things because I love my Father in Heaven and He has shown me that He loves me. I choose to be a Mormon because my gratitude is great and it gives me every reason to be of good cheer!

How I live my faith

My parents have always instilled in their children a desire to give back for all we have been blessed with. I find great joy in knowing people and finding evidence of God's love for all His children. I try to live everyday and every action so that those around me might be directed to our Father in Heaven. I love the American Red Cross and have found that volunteering with that organization has furthered my faith in a loving Father in Heaven and a redeeming Savior. Time spent volunteering always has its rewards, but the personal growth I receive from reaching outward brings me closer to my Brother, Jesus Christ than anything else.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Paige Ann Cavaness
I have found that through reading the scriptures, I not only gain a greater understanding for the ways of The Lord, but I feel protection, peace, and comfort in whatever my circumstances may be. My doubts, fears, and sorrows are swept away in the pages of the scriptures because they truly are the word of God! His word is never-changing, and His comfort is everlasting. I don't know this because I was told it by an angel or because I have been to Heaven in a dream. I know this because I have tried it and the Lord has shown me that He and His love are present throughout the words recorded by His prophets. I know the scriptures are true and they are my haven.
