Hi I'm Cassie

I grew up in Boise, Idaho. I went to school at BYU-Idaho, and I am a wife and mother of two beautiful girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy the outdoors, especially riding dirt bikes and hiking/snow shoeing. I like to dream about traveling to Europe to backpack. I love to eat, so I enjoy learning about cooking great tasting food. I also dream about eating at some of Europe's amazing restaurants! I am a mother of two beautiful girls who keep me busy and teach me patience. I am a portrait photographer, and I enjoy taking pictures of my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon, but I decided for myself that this church has the fullest of Jesus Christ's gospel that He started when He was on the Earth. There has never been one big moment when I knew the principles and doctrine in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were true and correct. Throughout my life, I have had many times where I felt an overwhelming peaceful feeling that came from my Heavenly Father through the Holy Ghost, bearing witness to me of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For me, the Holy Ghost feels more than it speaks. I feel joy and warmth when the Holy Ghost touches my heart. I know Heavenly Father's plan is perfect. I know He loves me and all His children. I know His son Jesus Christ is my Savior, that He died for all mankind, and that He lives again. My life has meaning because of this gospel. My life has a purpose because of this gospel. I know it is the only church on the earth with the proper authority, the Priesthood, to perform ordinances. I know it is the only true and complete church on the Earth. Just as Jesus Christ created a church with Apostles, this church has Apostles too. God loves all His children, not just people long ago. He has given us a prophet to lead us to usher in the second coming of Jesus Christ. How grateful I am for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am a part of the women's organization in my church. I help the women in our area who are in need of a meal, a ride, a babysitter, or just a listening ear. I also visit some elderly sisters in our area, and see if they have their needs met. I also play the piano when we sing hymns at church. Our church uses and organ during the main meeting to sing hymns, and sometimes I will play for our congregation.

Are Mormons Christians?

To be a Christian means you believe in Christ. Jesus Christ is the center of our church, and all that we do reflects our love and devotion to Him. He is our Savior, one who has saved us from our sins. He is our Redeemer, one who redeems us from the dead through His resurrection. He is the Son of God! Show more Show less
