Hi I'm Flo Gonzalez

I am Uruguayan, I love Harry Potter, talking, eating, laughing, spending time with friends and family, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love my big, loud and crazy family. Over the years I've developed a greater appreciation for my family. We are all very different, we come in all different shapes, shades, personalities and religious views. My parents always taught me to respect and love everyone. Easier said than done, am I right? In all honesty, I feel that loving everyone is easy, we just make it hard. Often, if someone looks different, is interested in different hobbies, speaks differently than we do, or has other religious preferences than us, we automatically think we can't love them because we're are so different from one another. FALSE! I firmly believe that LOVE and CHARITY can better this world. You might be thinking, this girl is a tree hugger, well not really but maybe just a hugger. I am a big fan of people who want to be better and therefore help others be better along the way. Isn't that what life is really for?

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon?... Good question. I have not always been part of the church. Two sweet sister missionaries came across my path and taught me some very powerful truths I didn't even know I was searching for. Throughout my life I've had my standards, testimony and faith questioned countless times. I am grateful for each of those times. I've had to reevaluate and ponder on the reason behind being a Mormon. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know my loving Savior restored His church to this earth. Through being a member of the church I've come to know my Savior and Redeemer. I trust that He has a plan for me, for YOU, and for us. We are His children, we are brothers and sisters, we are family. I can assure you He love YOU.

How I live my faith

I think I live my faith day by day. Trying to improve myself. I am constantly striving to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. Thought, if you know me, you know I fall short of that often. However, I do trust that my Father knows the desires of my heart and is pleased with me for simply trying. I have a deep love for the scriptures. Especially for the Book of Mormon. I truly love learning about my Savior and His love for me. There are probably a hundred different ways that I could improve the way I live my faith, but for now I am content with simply trying to LIVE IN FAITH.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Flo Gonzalez
As a woman in this church, I can honestly say I've come to know my divine role. We as women have the gist of being mothers and bringing precious spirits to this world. I know that the role of women as well as the role of men is equal in the sight of God. Show more Show less
