Hi I'm Rick

Colorado born, Nicaraguan for a bit. I'm a Denver Broncos Zealot,a wannabe economist, a friend-brother and I'm a mormon

About Me

I am a current college student studying Economics. Don't get me started talking about it or I will never stop. I grew up in a big crazy family that I love and as a result I need to be doing something or thinking about the next adventure. Growing up in the most scenic state has lead to an appreciation for being outdoors. When I was 8 my best friend lost his parents and eventually was welcomed to be apart of my family as my brother. It has shaped my life since then. He is still my best friend to this day and an inspiration to me. My parents are a shinning example as well for their trust in Jesus Christ to make every person in this world happy.

Why I am a Mormon

In the world there are numerous things that make us peaceful, however, I believe that Jesus Christ is the only one who can help us be that peaceful person forever. As simple as it sounds, I find nothing more comforting than accepting my faults and trusting that because he loves me, Jesus Christ will do as he promised and be merciful and allow me to be the best version of myself that there is. I am a Mormon because there is nothing in this world that makes me believe in the grace of Jesus Christ more than the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

The guy who hands you the program every Sunday, that me! My sincere belief is that it does not matter how big your presence in this world is as long as it is a positive one. I try and carry that over to my faith. I try to be a better person than I was yesterday and hope that I can help others do the same.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely. it is easy to focus on other things, but the central teaching of the church is that Jesus Christ is who he claimed to be; The Son of God who loves us enough to atone for our mistakes. Every heartache in the world can be softened by learning about him and accepting his invitation to repent. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We can learn to have faith in him by doing as he has invited us to do. He has told us to study his teaching. Do it. We will slowly begin to realize that there is infinite joy to be found in his teachings. He has told us to repent. Do it. We will enjoy the calming peace in knowing that our mistakes are not who we are as he erases them from our conscience. Show more Show less
