Hi I'm Trent

I can eat a 4 pound burger for one meal and still be hungry, I'm a missionary serving in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've played football all my life since the age of five. I also like basketball and volleyball and enjoy reading books and playing video games in my free time. I love the Church and it is a major part of my life, mainly because it is my life, even eternal life. I love making people laugh, (BACON!) and am most comfortable when everyone around me is having a good time and getting along.

Why I am a Mormon

For a long time I was a member simply because my family had been in the church. But I came to a point where I couldn't handle the questions life was throwing at me, "What am I supposed to do with my life?", "Does God care about me, or even exist for that matter?", "What if none of it is true, and I'm just lost?" So with these questions haunting me I did what my parents and church leaders had always taught me to growing up. I prayed. I prayed long and hard several times over the course of many months, along with diligent scripture study and faithful church attendance. Finally when I was completely desperate, when my infant faith had hit a wall that it couldn't get passed, I prayed one more time, and the love and the peace that I felt that night surpasses all understanding! I have no doubt in my mind that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that He is mindful of me and loves me, and it's the same for all of you! If this sounds crazy, pray. Ask your Heavenly Father what he thinks of you, and if you ask in faith and sincerity of heart, He will answer you. He answered me.

How I live my faith

As a missionary, for two years I eat, drink, and sleep the church. I go from house to house, from city to city, on the streets, and to church on Sunday with the same purpose; to bring others to the faith in Christ that has blessed me immensely. I get rejected a lot and am insulted occasionally, but that's just part of the calling and it doesn't even compare to the joy of helping others come to better know the Savior. I am constantly striving to become as humble as I know how so that the Lord can use me as a tool in His hands, for the salvation of His children.

What is faith?

Trent
Faith is when we believe in those things we can't see, or that can't be proven, but that we feel are true. Faith in Jesus Christ means that we believe in Him, but more than that we trust in Him and in his promises. Faith is a thing that is cultivated, or grown, we must perform the small tasks (prayer, scripture study, church attendance, etc.) diligently and obediently if we want our faith to grow and produce the fruit that we and our Heavenly Father desire for us to have, even faith unto salvation.
