Hi I'm Thor

I'm a Hawaii boy. I love to play sports, the ukulele, and guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the third oldest of six kids. I was born and raised in Hawaii. I've grown up playing all kinds of sports, but eventually fell in love with football and basketball. I enjoy listening and playing music, especially when I have "Jam Sessions" with my friends and family. I love to just kick it and chillax. I will soon be leaving to serve the lord full time in South Africa. Later, I plan on going to school for engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. As a child, I enjoyed going to church and learning more about Jesus Christ. The only problem was that I was just "going through the motions" of everyday life. Eventually, I ended up slightly becoming "of the world", a time in my life in which I was confused and lost about everything. The good thing about this was that deep inside, I still had the desire to follow our Savior, through thick and thin. It wasn't until recently (several months ago) that I was finally able to develop my own testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. I was advised to read the scriptures daily, and then to ponder the thoughts I had from reading, and to pray about those thoughts. By doing those simple steps (Search, Ponder, and Pray) I was able to draw nearer to our Savior and his Atonement. As a result, I then came to realize the importance of building my faith and life around Christ, for He is the reason for all things. Without Christ, there is no Savior. And without the Savior, there is no purpose in this life. And without a purpose, we would be lost and confused in this world. That's why it's important for us to build our lives on the rock/sure foundation, which is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I know that if we shall "build our foundations upon the rock of our redeemer, which is Christ," (Helaman 5:12) that we will be able to withstand anything that this world throws at us, and that everything in our lives will begin to fall into place.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best example I can be. Everywhere I go, I try my best to remember who and what I represent, which is our Father in Heaven and his beloved son Jesus Christ. Through righteous living and obedience to the Lord and his commandments, we show our love and gratitude to our Savior, who willingly died for our sins so that we may have the chance to return to live with our Heavenly Father again. By living the laws of the Gospel and being kind and loving to one another, we can find greater joy and happiness in this life.
