Hi I'm Ashley Bryant

I grew up in Maryland. I am a self-taught hip hop dancer. Serving a mission in Gilbert, AZ. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a self-taught dancer. I love dancing it is a huge passion of mine. I also played collegiate field hockey for a year at division 2 school, where I started and played every game it was one of the most hardest and most rewarding things I ever did. I am currently enrolled at another school, where I am studying to be either a therapist or a guidance counselor in a high school. I am taking a year and a half off from school to go serve a full-time mission for my church. I am very excited to spread the gospel, but I am also so fearful and scared to go do something I am not used to doing everyday, but with the Lord and the Holy Ghost by my side I will make it. I love to write, snowboard, hike, hang with my friends, and play SIMS hahaha. I am an outdoorsy daredevil and love mountains. I enjoy running and my favorite kind of music is rap and hip hop.

Why I am a Mormon

Wow, to be honest I have never been asked this question. But, it is a very vital one to think about. Why am I Mormon? Simply put-I was born into it, because my mom is a convert who joined the church at 22, and my dad has been his whole life, as well. But personally, I am a member because it is my home away from my heavenly home in Heaven. I feel safe in this gospel, everywhere I go I can find others who believe in the same things I do and we can relate and find love anywhere. I continue to be a member of this gospel because I have so much faith in all that I have been taught of Christ and my Heavenly Father. I know this is the true church. It has brought me such peace and endurance when it seems too hard to move on. There is hope and faith in this life. I know my Father in Heaven loves all of his children no matter what mistakes we make, we can always come home and be forgiven of them. I know that none of us are bad people, we make bad choices, we do something natural, but wrong timing. This gospel has been my saving grace. It brings my family closer, it allows me to see others in the light of Christ, to see them as what they can be not what they used to be. Focus on the beauty within and soon it will shine through toward the outside.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been my entire life. I have had many callings while being a member and it has been such a wonderful way to serve others and learn more about your limits, weaknesses, and strengths. I have had the opportunity of being in charge of a charity group where we are given a name of women who are struggling in the church and we visit them and basically learn how to help them and be there for them. I have had many chances to serve in my own community through the church, such as, a food drive, visiting a shelter, doing group service projects. I have also had chances to teach others, but more importantly others have taught me while I was serving them.
