Hi I'm Sharissa

I love to travel the world. I'm an Archaeology student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student, studying Archaeology. In studying Archaeology I have had the opportunity to travel the world, from Italy to Honduras. I love sewing and cooking. I love to write and studying languages. I speak fluent Spanish and I can also speak Italian.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the church is true. I was born into a family who were members of the church. I grew up learning the teachings of the gospel. But when I was nineteen years old I had the opportunity to live in Europe for several months. While in Europe I was separated from other members of my faith. This was the first time my testimony was forced to stand on it's own two feet. While on my own I began to ponder the truthfulness of the gospel. I decided to put Moroni's promise, in Moroni 10:4 of the Book of Mormon, to the test. I knelt down beside my bed and prayed to know the truthfulness of the gospel. As I knelt beside the bed, in this foreign country, as far away from my family, and my faith as I could ever imagine myself being, I received a confirmation that the gospel was true and that I knew that all along. Though my testimony was tested, it was strengthened through this experience.

How I live my faith

I love to attend my church meetings on Sundays and other activities during the week. I also live my faith by not drinking, not smoking, and living by the standards the church upholds.
