Hi I'm Rebekah

I have never left Australia, but I am preparing to serve a mission in Peru. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am studying psychology at university, and I have just finished my first year. I am now deferring my studies for the next 2 years as I prepare to serve the Lord on a mission to Peru. I'll be speaking Spanish on my mission, which is terrifying, but my mum and grandparents speak Spanish so I'm trying to learn as much as I can now. I love exercising, especially cycling, and watching the Tour de France is one of my yearly highlights. I also love watching the Formula One. I love reading, especially Shakespeare, Jane Austen and church literature.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are members of the church, so I was born into the church. When I was younger I just went to church because I would get in trouble if I didn't, but as I grew older I started going to church because it was a peaceful place to be, and I liked the things I learnt. As I've grown even older, I go to church because I know that it is the Lord's church restored to earth again, and the only church that contains the fullness of the gospel. I know that as a Mormon, I am incredibly blessed to be able to learn about God's plan for me and for each of His children, and I am able to experience the deep and profound joy that comes from living the gospel. I love being a Mormon, and I want to share the joy I have with others!

How I live my faith

I serve in the church by helping to organize activities for the sisters to participate in, which has involved things as crazy as making 60 piggy cupcakes for an activity! I also give lifts to firesides and other activities for the Young Single Adults, as well as helping to organize them. I am also preparing to share the gospel full time as a missionary, or special representative of the Lord.
