Hi I'm Madeline

I am a college student, an international traveler, a foodie, a beach-bum. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a born-and-raised California girl from a small beach town. I grew up among all walks of life and since I was young have had the opportunity to travel to many different places and experience many different cultures. I have sweated under the hot Mexican sun building school houses in the desert and cried under the majestical beauty of the Sistine Chapel. In each experience I have had I see the power and beauty in all of God's creations. I have come to appreciate all cultures, religions, ways of life, and I see the importance and beauty in each one of them.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have grown up in the church my whole life I don't think that is why I am an active member today. I have had my own personal conversion which has led me to grow and understand the church in my own. Through my early teenage years I always went through the motions of being a member (church every week, early morning scripture class, service projects, youth activities) I wasn't getting the full depth of the church that I knew was out there. It wasn't until I read the Book of Mormon and prayerfully asked my Heavenly Father that I came to understand the full truth of the church. It was then I finally understood the power of the gospel and the strength the church could give me in all aspects of my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently attending Brigham Young University, a church run school that gives me the opportunity to live among people who share the same beliefs as me. Together we build each other up and help each other live our lives to the fullest. When I am at home I participate in church meetings and activities as well as serve outside of my church. The most important thing I have learned from belonging to this church is everyone is a child of God and we all are loved. No matter who we are, no matter what we have done, we are all important to him.
