Hi I'm Mitchell Tingey

I love to play volleyball. I'm from Las Vegas, and I'm headed for Ecuador to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada for most of my life. Over the years I have developed a love for all sports, videography, and exploring the outdoors. I specifically love to play volleyball. I currently attend BYU Provo and I am studying physiology and developmental biology. After I serve a mission and finish school I plan on attending medical school and becoming a doctor one day!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon for my entire life. As a young one, I'll admit that I may have taken granted of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I didn't exactly know what it all meant. As I have grown older and studied the gospel of Jesus Christ more in depth I have come to know for myself that it is true. I find immense joy in the message that the gospel brings to me. To know that we can be forgiven of all the mistakes we make in this life and return to live with God one day makes me eternally happy and there is nothing else that I could ever want.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Christ in everything I do, from opening and closing my days with a sincere prayer, to listening to wholesome, uplifting music. I look for opportunities to serve others whether by a simple random act of kindness or a full blown service project. Nothing beats the feeling of selflessly serving others, as Jesus Christ would. I also study my scriptures daily and have been preparing to go serve a mission in Guayaquil Ecuador.
