Hi I'm Nate Leavitt

I have been married 11 years, and have 4 boys. I love spending time with family on any adventure. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Two things that matter most to me are enjoying Family, and spending time in the outdoors. I enjoy coaching my kids sports, spending time in the Wasatch mountains hiking, fishing, and riding ATV's. I also enjoy staying active through running long distances, playing basketball, football, soccer, and any other challenging sports. I have been married for 11 years, and have 4 boys, ages 9, 7, 5, and 4. I met my wife 3 weeks before departing on a 2 year church mission to New Jersey. 8 months after returning home, she served a church mission in Scotland. She returned home 18 months later and we were married within 6 months. I currently work in Sales as an accounts executive. I sell major food brands in the Utah, Southern Idaho, and Western Colorado territory to the convenience Channel of trade.

Why I am a Mormon

It is said "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass". Throughout my life, I've watched small and simple things confound what most would pass off as absolutes. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple. The miracles the Savior worked during his ministry were based on simple faith, often confounding those who, at that time, were said to be wise and great. The Spirit of the Holy Ghost manifests itself through a calm, simple, reassurance. With all the complexities of life, I have at times wondered to myself how I can accomplish tasks which seem much bigger than I. Things which are by all counts impossible. I have leaned on the Lord for help in accomplishing these tasks, and through fervent prayer, and the Lord's Grace, the path was enlightened, and I was enabled to accomplish the task. I hear and read stories on the news, which cannot be explained, but only that they are miracles, from a God who loves his Children, and pays close attention. I am a Mormon because I Know that God knows and loves each of his Children individually, and wants us all to return back to him. Because he loves us, he provided a Savior, who atoned for our Sins. I am also a Mormon because of a man by the name of Joseph Smith. One of the first things Joseph testified of was the bible passage "if any of you lack wisdom, ask of God". I love that we can pray and ask God about his truth. Joseph asked God and because of his simple desire to know of God's truths, was entrusted to restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth. Joseph always testified of God and Jesus Christ. It was through the Prophet Joseph Smith that God's Priesthood (God's power and authority to act on his behalf), was restored so that all ordinances can be accomplished while here on earth. It was also through the Prophet Joseph that the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, was restored as a 2nd witness of our Savior. I know the Savior lives and set the perfect example of pure Love.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed serving in different capacities within our congregation. I have served Youth (ages 14-18), teaching them valuable lessons learned in life, taking them on fun adventures in the outdoors, and teaching them the joy of serving others. Service projects include landscaping, home construction, visiting the veterans home, and assisting young men in obtaining their Eagle Scout award. I have also enjoyed participating and helping to organize neighborhood parties, barbeques at the park, and any other activity by which people can come to know each other. These kinds of things have been the most rewarding to me throughout my life. Some of the experiences I cherish most are visiting others in our neighborhood and finding ways to provide service. Somehow, through the grace of God, I quickly found answers to my own set of challenges, by losing myself visiting and serving others.
