Hi I'm Mandy

I am living my childhood dream of being a wife and mother.

About Me

I enjoy being active; I run, bike and enjoy being outdoors. Each year I participate in a race to help motivate myself to stay physically active. I enjoy fruits and vegetables and therefore plant a garden each year. I still get a thrill to see how one seed can turn into a plant. As a mother of six children, life is never a dull moment!

Why I am a Mormon

As a Mormon I feel happy inside! In my life, just like yours, I have made a lot of decisions and choices. Some good, some bad. I found that when I felt best about who I was, and the decisions I was making, was when I was following and living the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka: Mormon Church). As I have spent more time in life, it has become clearer to me that the teaching of Jesus Christ influence decisions I make each day. Living his gospel makes me feel and act better towards myself and others by reminding me that I am a child of God and that those around me are too!

How I live my faith

In my church I am asked to help in many ways. Currently, I serve by helping the children learn to sing primary songs. This is not something I would have chosen for myself because I have no prior experience in leading music. However, I love children and I love the primary songs. I know that by challenging myself to do this, I will grow and gain experience that will help me personally and hopefully the children I teach. I living my faith each day, by serving others. Actively involving myself in serving my family and those in my neighborhood and community, helps me feel valued. Praying, reading scriptures and taking small moments to think about my Savior, Jesus Christ, helps me keep perspective on what really matters. The mountains of chores and tasks are not so difficult when I can see that there is more to this life than mundane tasks and things to do. Through prayer and scripture study I learn about my important place here on earth and how I can better myself each day. When I can assist others I receive joy and love in return.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Pray, read the scriptures, and think about how it. Take the things you learn and read about and try to use them in your life. (This could take some time...days or even weeks.) Then ask yourself, "How does it makes you feel inside your heart and mind?" Be honest with yourself! Answers to prayers come...not always the way we think they should. Show more Show less
