Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in a small town in Indiana. I started my own construction company. I love the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 30 year old single father of a wonderful 7 seven year old which is very excitedly awaiting his chance to be baptized a member of the church as i am excited to have the blessing to be worthy to baptize him. I live in a wonderful town outside of Indianapolis. I recently started my own construction company and am getting off to a good start. I spend a lot of my free time working out and playing basketball at my local recreation center almost 6 days a week most weeks. Though I most enjoy building long lasting and healthy relationships with my parents and my siblings an spending time with my son. I have conquered various addictions of all kinds through my life with the power and support of my Savior Jesus Christ and the members of his church. I of course being a single 30 year old male spend plenty of time searching for my eternal companion that i can one day take to the temple and be sealed to for all of time. However, i have complete faith that when she and I are ready that the Lord will put us together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a recovering drug addict. I was born in the church to wonderful parents who taught the difference between right and wrong and gave me a strong background in the gospel. Never the less I stopped coming to church at age 16 when I allowed drugs to become the most important thing in my life. Over the next 14 years I battled various addiction finally handing my life over to meth. I had been married and divorced. I had become a father but never a "DAD". It all came to a crashing/changing point just before my 29th birthday when through the previous year I had lost my home, cars, and my son (who was now living with my parents). I decided it was time for a change. I checked myself in to a local rehab clinic and began the process of finding myself again. A long Seven months later I had graduated the program started a new job and began to start over. I had started attending the local YSA branch of the church and began the repentance process with my Branch President. Fourteen months after checking myself in to that clinic. I partook in the redeeming covenant of the Sacrament and through Christ finally let go of 14 years of sin and sorrow and two months later was even given the great blessing of being able to bless the Sacrament once again. I had truly had a mighty change of heart and no longer had a disposition to due evil. I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know he came to this earth and bled and died not only for my ,but all of our sins and sorrows. So that we would all be given the option to chose to in act his sacrifice and become perfect through him and return to live with our Father in Heaven. I love you as my brother Christ loves you. These things i say are true I know it.

How I live my faith

My life is filled with love and joy. Living this way I find it much easier to see Christ in all things. Which in turn makes it easier to live with love and joy in my heart. I live my faith everyday all day by always holding myself accountable in all things. I know of the Savior's true love for me and for each of us. I desire to live my life in a way to always please him. I volunteer at church to whatever is asked. I work at our local Bishop's Storehouse as often as possible preparing food orders to be distributed to those less fortunate. I offer to feed the missionaries from my local ward once a week. I take every chance i can to join them on their appointments. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ first and foremost. I take great comfort starting and ending my days with prayers and scripture study. I try and live everyday and do everything with the idea of loving as Christ would love them or as he would do.
