Hi I'm Natalie

I coach soccer. I still love to play. I am an artist. I am a mother of six and grandmother of two. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to ski and hike. I've played sports all my life, high school and college. I still play soccer and volleyball. I love to be outside. Now that my kids are mostly grown I have returned to painting. I studied art in college but as my children came along there wasn't time for everything so I set it aside for a while. Now I hike to find the next painting. I love it. Life has seasons. I'm really enjoying this season of my life. My husband Dave is my greatest support. We have so much fun together. He taught me to waterski and I taught him to play futsal, which is like indoor soccer. Outside he fishes while I paint.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I had a wonderful example set for me by my parents. I wanted the same thing for myself. At some point though we can't rely on our parent for our faith. We have to ask for ourselves, so I did. I asked my Father in Heaven if it was true. He gave me peace. I have trusted that feeling and over time I have come to know that this is where I belong. I still don't have all the answers but I am sure that at some point I will. I can pray and ask and He will listen, comfort and guide. I know God is there and he loves his children.

How I live my faith

I have coached soccer for twenty years, my children mostly, but also a team I didn't have a child on. When the Lord gives us gifts and talents, he expects us to share them. Playing sports gave me confidence and friendships and blessed my life. I try to share that with my players. Art is a new playing field for me. I hope I can share how I feel about this earth and the beauty I find with others.
