Hi I'm Dave Shupe

"I love to ski, rock climb and bicycle. I'm married and have 6 kids. I'm a Grandpa, a veterinarian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy being outside in God's creations. I especially enjoy waterskiing, fishing, camping with my family, and anything else that gets me outside. I am a veterinarian and find working with animals a fascinating career. I'm happily married to my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

Sometimes I wonder if I were to have been born in a different time or place would I have had the strength or faith required to join the LDS church. I'm a "Utah Mormon" as it is commonly referred to around here, and I'll be forever grateful for that blessing. I've gone to church for pretty much all of my life, and a lot of the values that I hold true to were instilled early in my life. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I believe in the values that it teaches. In the scriptures it says "By their fruits ye shall know them". If you want to know more about the LDS church, check out the "fruits" associated with this faith. I've served a mission to the wonderful people in Brazil. My conversion to the gospel happened all along in my youth, and was solidified while on my mission. I'm very thankful to my Father in Heaven for all of the blessings in my life.

How I live my faith

I'm a scoutmaster in my community. I help to teach 12 and 13 year old boys about the outdoors, and the values that will make them better men in the years to come. I'm thankful to the leaders that helped me along the way, and now I'm trying to do my best to help others. I live in a great community that pitches in to help a neighbor whether you are a member of the LDS church or not. I look forward to scout camp each year. This next year we hope to go to the Sawtooth mountains in Idaho. Family is the most important thing in my life. I love my wife and kids more than anything. It is great to do things with them.
