Hi I'm M. Lynn Severinsen

I retired from telecommunitions. I enjoy playing with the grandkids, golf, photography, and carpentry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I retired from the telecommunication industry after nearly 40 years, working as a technicial, technical manager, tech support, and finally as a regional operations manager. I married my wife in the Salt Lake Temple and have been happily married for over 42 years, We have 4 childred and 12 wonderful grandkids. Since retiring, we travel as often as we can. I enjoy playing golf, photography, and making wood projects in my home garage.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a good LDS family. My parents were always active and taught me about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was while serving in the West Australia Mission that I really strenghtened my testimony with study and prayer. I needed to know for myself that the church I was raised in was really true and the things I was teaching were true. Through scripture study and prayer, my testimony continued to grow until one day, I just knew it was true. No vision, no voice whispered to me, I just knew in my heart it is the true church.

How I live my faith

In my home community, I have served with the Boy Scouts of America for 50 years, holding positions in my local units, District, and Council. I am an Eagle Scout and have received the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver. I have been a scoutmaster twice and served on the troop committee every year. In my home ward, I have been YM Counselor (working with the Scouts), Deacons Quorum Advisor, Sunday School President, Ward Clerk, Executive Secretary, and Counselor in two Bishoprics. With my wife, we served in the Area Special Needs Mutual for six years. Our Special Needs Friends came from 19 Stakes. It was a rewarding calling working with these wonderful people. Our current assignment is as Missionaries in the Florida Tampa Mission, in the Mission Office.
