Hi I'm Joseph Rockwell

i have spent most of my life in California, i am taking online classes with BYU-I and i'm a mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in California, I have been a member of the church my entire life, I moved to san Antonio Texas last year, I came back to my home town in May of this year, I am taking online classes from BYU-I, I am trying to get my college credits up so I can enlist in the California national guard next summer/fall I plan on doing that until I can go to school full time and major in psychology while attending ROTC so I can commission as an officer in the army when I am done, and eventually go on to be a clinical psychologist in the US army.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my entire life, I was born and raised a member baptized at eight, I did everything in the that was expected of me until I turned seventeen, when I turned seventeen I moved out of my mom’s house and stopped going to church and stopped living the gospel, because I stopped living the gospel my life took a turn for the worse, I started doing things I wasn't supposed to, I was homeless for about a month until I moved in with my girlfriend at the time. Ex-girlfriend now, and things just got worse from there, I am twenty one now and I started attending church regularly again and went through the repentance process last august, and the difference is extreme! I feel like a completely different person than seventeen year old kid, everything for me lately has been going so well, I am going to school; I am getting my college credits up so I can enlist in the National Guard next summer/fall. I am closer with my family than I ever was, although we still bicker a lot. I now have my own testimony in this gospel, I have made many mistakes in the past years and I will more than likely continue to make mistakes, but heavenly father provided me away to return to him and will continue to provide this way for me, as long as I do what he expects from me, this gospel has changed my life and blessed me in so many ways that I cannot name them all, all I can say is that I am a completely different man, than the seventeen year old kid I use to be. I promise you no matter what, our heavenly father loves each and every one of us, he wants us all to return to him, and he has provided that way for us. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, there is always away back to our father. I bear witness to this, in Jesus name, amen.

How I live my faith

I was a Sunday school teacher in my church for a while, I would usually teach up to about 12-14 kids each week, I helped out with the scouting group and other youth groups a lot, currently I am on the activities committee, so I help with planning a bunch of activities for my current ward. And I have a blast in all of these callings so far.
