Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm from a little town called Powell in Wyoming. I am a lifeguard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hard work is the key to success. Before serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I worked as much as I could. I worked as a lifeguard, Grounds crew member, at a movie theater, and was security for our county fair. It was hard work, but not as much as the mission. I served in the Mexico City North mission and worked hard to serve the Lord every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since i was 8 years old. I always knew the church was true, but that was never put to the test until I was on my mission. I went on my mission with faith, and i came back a convert. On my mother's side of the family, the church has played a huge role since 1852 when some of the first missionaries taught my ancestors in Europe. They were some of the first pioneers to settle in Utah and then later were sent to Wyoming to settle the Big Horn Basin. On my dad's side of the family, his parents were the first converts. They later went on to serve missions together and serve as mission presidents. When the decision came to be baptized and serve a mission, the answer was unmistakable. Of Course! I thought i knew everything about the church when in fact, i had, and still have, much more to learn. Coming from a background such as mine doesn't assure having a firm testimony. A testimony only comes after a trial of faith. (Book of Mormon, Ether 12:6) My trial of faith came in the form of a question. in my first area on my mission, I had a rough day. I was very grumpy and finally my companion asked, "Why are you even in the mission?" I had never thought sincerely about that. I knew a mission was a good thing to do, it would help me in my life, but why was I really there? I pondered that question over and over until i came to the conclusion: because this same message has blessed my family, I want to share it with others. I know that this church is the same church Jesus Christ established when he was on the Earth. I know that God is our loving heavenly father. He listens to our prayers. He wants us to live with our families forever! The only way we can do that is through our promised obedience to His commandments. I'm so glad the church was restored and shared through missionary efforts. I know I am blessed to have these restored truths in my life!

How I live my faith

I try to do my part in the ward by fulfilling my responsibilities as a mission preparation teacher. Other than that I try to visit people that might need a helping hand. I visit families in my ward that need help. i believe that a smile is enough to brighten just about anyones day. all we need to do to let others see our light is SMILE :)
