Hi I'm Kari

I am an avid sports fan, reader and teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

i am a teacher by trade and I love to learn. I love reading (usually more for a good story than information). I love watching sports and movies, although I rarely go to the theater and have many oldies in my collection. I love being an aunt and all that goes along with it. I trained as a genealogist and love the thrill of researching family lines...I know that sounds kind of weird, but I would encourage you to try it out and see what happens. I think it goes back to enjoying a good story.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a pretty logical thinker. I like things that make sense. In a world full of confusion and differing ideas, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what makes sense to me. As a child I understood it. Now as an adult, the more I learn and the more experiences I have, the more I love it. I can't imagine my life in any other way. I know that Jesus Christ has established His church on the earth in our day, so that we can enjoy all the blessings He wants to give us. He gave us the Gospel to be our road map and to help us reach our Father in Heaven again. Jesus Christ made it possible for us to return home.

How I live my faith

I currently help out with a program in the church called visiting teaching. All female members of the church over age 18 are usually assigned visiting teachers, and are assigned to be visiting teachers. They are prayerfully chosen to visit with a couple of other women in the ward to see how they are doing and provide friendship and encouragement for them. They then make sure that leadership at the local church knows if these women are in need of any extra help or encouragement. I am assigned to make sure that these messages get passed along to the right people.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kari
We believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have given us a precious gift. He has called Prophets and established a church so that we can know how to live in this world and return back to Them. We have a desire to share this with others so they can enjoy the same blessings that we have. As a former missionary, I know that helping someone find the Gospel of Jesus Christ is an incredible and rewarding experience, for all people involved. I love to see people change their lives because they want to live with their lives centered on Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
