Hi I'm Devin Soelberg

I'm the youngest of ten kids. I've been called to labor in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a freshman in college. I'm an Exercise Physiology major. I've ben called to labor in the Georgia Atlanta Mission Spanish speaking. I report to the Mexico City Missionary Training Center on January 1, 2014. I love my family and being together with them. I'm the youngest of ten kids. Our family loves to get together, play games and just have fun. I love playing sports. I play soccer, basketball, and tennis. I love doing outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, and snowboarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It means everything to me. Both of my parents are members of the Church, so I have been raised in the gospel. I was baptized when I was eight years old. When I was about nine years old is when I had a defining point in my life. I really started wondering what everything meant. I wondered if the church really was true. I pondered and kept praying and that is when I really developed a testimony of the truthfulness of the church. I developed a really strong testimony of the Book of Mormon my freshman year of high school. I took the Book of Mormon challenge found in the last book of the Book of Mormon, Moroni 10 verses 3-5. Taking this challenge gave me the testimony and love for the Book of Mormon that I have today. The Gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me and I want to share this glad message with the world, so that is why I have chosen to serve a full-time mission. I can't wait to teach the people in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. I know this church is true and I know that Joseph Smith did restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living Prophet on this Earth today just like we did during biblical times. I know that the Book of Mormon's doctrines and teachings are true and that by reading this book it will draw people closer to their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am currently attending a singles ward in Rexburg, Idaho where I attend college at BYU-Idaho. I have a calling as a home teacher where I get to visit people in my ward with my home teaching companion. We typically visit with them and teach a lesson that is issued by the First Presidency of the church. I also have a calling to be a Family Home Evening Group Leader. We get together every Mondays with our "Family" which consists of my apartment and two other apartments. I work in correspondence with a girl who is the other group leader who helps me plan fun activities and meaningful lessons. I am considered our "family's" dad and she is considered the mom. Our "family" has a lot of fun together.
