Hi I'm Lexi Foster

I grew up in California. I love learning. I know American Sign Language. I love ballroom dancing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I always love learning new things. Education is a passion of mine, and I love to teach and share with others. Service is one of my favorite things to do. I try to live by faith instead of fear, so I challenge myself to face my fears. I love adventures and once-in-a-lifetime moments. I also love watching movies with friends and family. I'm also a book worm-I love reading a good book and sipping hot cocoa on a rainy day. Nature is also one of my favorite things in life. I love being outdoors or staring out a window at the beautiful surroundings. I love observing nature and learning from the animals and their habitats. I also love people, cultures, and languages. I know American Sign Language and have loved learning from the Deaf culture. My favorite moments are when you learn from others' experiences. Everyone has a story to tell and there is always something to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it allows me to become more like Christ. I was blessed with the opportunity to be raised as a member of the church, but my own personal conversion started when I was 14. I accepted an invitation to read The Book of Mormon within the year. During this time frame, I prayed and asked God if this was a true book. Through a warmth of peace that only the Holy Spirit can bring, I received my witness that The Book of Mormon was true. My journey continued from there. After many years of continued study, prayers, and experiences, I have deepened my understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ and developed a stronger personal relationship with my Savior. I know that He lives and loves me. I know that His gospel is restored and true today, and it is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that families can truly be together forever and am grateful my family has that promised blessing. I know that we all face trials and heart ache but can find peace, solace, and courage through Christ and his suffering for us. I do know The Book of Mormon and The Bible are holy scripture given to us from a loving God. I know that the fullest blessings from God are found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and it is for everyone and will bless everyone. I have become more like Christ, I know Him, and He knows me. This knowledge has brought me great peace and understanding through out my life-this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others-even the simple acts. I try to always smile at others because you never know when someone needs a smile. I have volunteered with Special Olympics as a coach, Horses for Healing, and other various acts of service. I especially love teaching and try to volunteer often as a tutor. I have also taught many classes for church (ages ranging from 2 years old to 90+), helped organize youth dances, and been on service committees. I love visiting with people too especially when accompanied with a sweet treat. Bringing people smiles warms my heart.
