Hi I'm Madison Powell

I'm an Artist, a Kentucky Convert, a Missionary in the Colorado Colorado Springs Mission, a Daughter of God - and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am 20 years old and I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ. I was baptized in 2013, on the 21st of September. Ever since the missionaries walked through my door, I have known that I have wanted to serve a mission, and I have now been called by God to the Colorado Colorado Springs Mission in July of 2015. I was born and raised in the Appalachian region of Eastern Kentucky. Before beginning my missionary service, I completed my first year of college at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where I am studying Visual Communication and Event Planning. I love art. I am passionate about beautifying the external spaces around me, but I have found that the most beauty comes from the internal - the love found within living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I desire to follow Jesus Christ with all of my heart. Being apart of the Church of Jesus Christ provides me with the opportunity to share the Light of Christ with others in this world, and I have found that in serving others, I am the happiest and most selfless that I could possibly be. I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to learn more about the Savior and His teachings, and striving to be the best example of Him that I can each day. I live my faith through the Christ-like love and support I find in my family and friends. I live my faith by always trying to see the people who surround me as God sees them, and in turn, I begin to accept myself more and more as I try to see myself in that same light.
