Hi I'm Kelsea

I'm a Colorado Native. I love sports, books, the outdoors, and a good TV show. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate and now work as corporate travel planner. I am 22 and was recently married to my best friend, Branden. My husband is in law school and I continually love learning what he learns. Our favorite thing to do is to go to Disneyland--what's not to love? I love to try new things and see new places. We love sports, the outdoors, reading, and a good TV show or movie.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church as my parents were both Mormon. For my childhood, it was all I knew, but I loved the friendships I had there. As I grew older, I definitely had questions, and soon wanted to find for myself if the church really was true. One of my church advisors had told me if I wanted to know, I had to live it. The next week, I started diligently doing the things I had been told would bring me more happiness and peace, as well as a knowledge of the truth of the gospel, to my life. And simply, peace, happiness, and a testimony of the gospel came, just as promised. Keeping the commandments and reading the Book of Mormon daily changed my life. I believe that all that I have has come through my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been so immensely blessed and know that my obedience and will to follow Jesus Christ has provided me those blessings. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives so much peace and purpose to my life--I know where I am going and why I am here. I know that I can not only have joy in the next life, but I can have joy here and now. My family is what truly provides me the most joy and I know that ultimately, family is what is most important, and am grateful for the opportunity to spend eternity with mine. My membership in the church has not only provided me with everything that I have, with peace, purpose, and joy, but has as well provided me a great way to live my life. I know by striving to be like Jesus Christ, I am not only growing closer to Him and my Heavenly Father, but am becoming more charitable, kinder, stronger, smarter, happier, more grateful, more loyal, and more honest. I know the church is true. I know my Savior Jesus Christ lives. I know that He died so that I might live, so that I could be forgiven of my sins. I know God loves us and is constantly blessing our lives in ways that we often do not see.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to become more like Jesus Christ and follow His example. I have always wanted to be an influence for good and know that it is a main part of our purpose here on earth to enrich the lives of others. Through becoming like Christ, I know I am more able to help the lives of others. Christ is our ultimate example of charity, love, and kindness. By following Him and His teachings, I am able to slowly obtain those characteristics. Sometimes, striving to be like Jesus is, perfect, seems daunting. Setting goals has helped me see the task within easier reach. I have lived my life setting goals and continue to do so into my adult life, which is what helps me be the person I want to be. As a former gymnast, goal setting was drilled into our brains as the key to success. I now have learned and believe that through setting goals, working our hardest, and ultimately achieving goals is what helps us reach our full potential. I try to work on something small every day or week that will help me to be a benefit to others. And although I know I will never be perfect and continue to fail at things daily, I also know that God sees my efforts and knows the intent of my heart. He will ultimately help me touch the lives of those in need. I as well attend church every sunday and serve wherever I am needed. As a family, my husband and I read scriptures together and share gospel lessons we have prepared with each other. I love reading the scriptures. As I previously said, I gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon at a young age and watched the book change my life. My husband and I as well go on dates, eat dinner together, and spend quality time together doing something we enjoy. We believe growing closer to one another brings us closer to God, as the family is the most important thing here on earth.
